People are so polite

Ok, seriously, why didn't anyone question the name??? No, Vanessa, I am not naming the baby Ruggelina. I thought you would know me well enough by now!

So, let me explain. Ruggles is actually the only name that Steve and I can talk about without really arguing. We happened upon it one day while reading the D & C -- some poor man's first name was actually Ruggles. I swear. Anyways, ever since, we kind of avoid discussing real names, and Ruggles keeps coming up as a joke.

And, knowing my husband, and how fond he is of making permanent decisions, the poor girl will be called Ruggles until the day she's born to avoid the real discussion. And then she'll probably end up with some really generic name like Stephenie or Jackie.

So, you know that now whatever you end up naming her she's going to be called Ruggles by everyone. I hate the naming part. Good luck!

If Van had been a girl, GK wanted to name him Pinkie. Despite all the protests (from others, not just me) that she would only have been able to be a waitress or a prostitute.

That's why it's good you have to agree. But that's one of the better nicknames for a womb-baby.

By the way, I assumed you were joking, or keeping the name options a secret like we did for a while. (Not the best option in our case...)

Congratulations!!! I just talked to my mom and she told me you were pregnant (and going to the same doctor that she did) :) I'm so excited for you! I'm excited for you that it's a girl too. Saxon keeps asking me for a sister and a puppy. I don't think he knows what a sister is.

My Grandmother's name was Ruggles.

Van's code name was Meryl. We decided to save it for a better son.

Jared -- I cannot believe I, of all people mispelled September. I think I will blame it on pregnancy stupidity.
